JA Camp Counselors

AOII and the Arthritis Foundation have been partners since 1967, when arthritis became AOII’s international philanthropy.  Alpha Omicron Pi chapters and members donate their time and talents, host events benefitting arthritis, and participate in runs and walks in their honor.

We’re excited to share another opportunity to support the Arthritis Foundation! Do you want to be a Camp Volunteer?

The Arthritis Foundation’s JA Camp programs take place across the United States and give kids with arthritis and related childhood rheumatic diseases the chance to make lasting memories. JA Camp brings hope and connection to kids, teens and their families.

Camp staff and volunteers strive to provide campers with a camping experience that includes traditional activities like campfires, arts and crafts, theme nights, swimming, sports, lake activities, and other activities in an environment that considers campers’ strengths and not the limitations of the camper’s disease.

Getting to know others who live with the same or similar experiences with arthritis is life-changing and helps our campers build friendships that last a lifetime. We are grateful for your willingness to share your valuable time with our campers!  We look forward to an exciting and fun-filled camp session and cannot wait to meet with you to discuss your interest in joining our camp team!
