- Advance collegiate recruitment, engagement, and retention outcomes.
- Provide tailored, ongoing training and education for recruitment and retention tactics.
Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation Strategic Plan 2014-2018
Goal 1- Stewardship
Create a comprehensive and measureable development plan to ensure the future sustainability of the Foundation. (Aligns with Culture Principles: Engagement, Collaboration, Innovation)
- Objective 1: Achieve 100% participation by all members of the Executive Board, Foundation Board, and Properties Board in annual giving campaigns and in cultivation and stewardship of current and prospective donors.
- Objective 2: Increase first-time donors, Loyalty Fund giving, and donor retention.
- Objective 3: Increase 1897 Society gifts annually.
- Objective 4: Raise the funds necessary to expand the number of scholarships offered and increase the balance of existing scholarship funds.
Goal 2- Volunteer Leadership
Build and train an exceptional, results-oriented volunteer pool committed to high achievement and responsible stewardship of resources. (Aligns with Culture Principles: Accountability & Ownership, Collaboration, Engagement, Open & Honest Communication)
- Objective 1: Create a curriculum for annual training of board members and alumnae volunteers to both develop new and sustain current relationships with alumnae and collegians that will provide diverse funding sources.
- Objective 2: Recruit new alumnae volunteers, serving as Committee Members and Foundation Ambassadors, focusing on a diversity of Networks, skill sets, and experience levels.
Goal 3- Operations
Build and promote a culture that emphasizes best practices and transparencies resulting in innovation and professionalism. (Aligns with Culture Principles: Innovation, Open & Honest Communication)
- Objective 1: Maintain a balanced budget and provide annual financial reports to members, current donors, and prospective donors.
- Objective 2: Implement a new donor management system to develop effective strategic analytics for use in planning and implementation of stewardship objectives.
- Objective 3: Review and revise governance processes to focus on policy, oversight, and stewardship activities.
Goal 4- Communications
Enhance the Foundation brand and broaden communication efforts to reach all current and prospective donors. (Aligns with Culture Principle: Open & Honest Communication)
- Objective 1: Create an inventory of stories for Foundation volunteers that illustrate the impact of donor contributions.
- Objective 2: Use a variety of traditional and social media sources to further engage current and prospective donors.
- Objective 3: Collaborate with the Fraternity to develop more targeted messaging, producing stronger connectivity with donors and prospective donors.
Goal 5- Young Alumnae
Increase collegiate and recent alumnae awareness, engagement, and giving. (Aligns with Culture Princples: Engagement, Innovation)
- Objective 1: Implement innovative ways to engage collegians and young alumnae in sustainable giving practices.
- Objective 2: Work with the Young Alumnae Council to develop an action plan for implementing its goals.

Enhancing lifetime engagement
- Building Fraternity wide understanding of AOII Properties’ mission, vision, and purpose through education and relationship building by both Properties staff partners and board liaisons.
- Developing engagement strategies to ensure all members needs are met during their collegiate experience by open communication and requests for feedback regarding service
Enriching AOII’s culture of living our values
- Incorporate AOII’s Culture Principles in all Properties operations, resources, initiatives and programming
Developing exceptional members
- Providing members with positive living and learning environments that encourage them to join and enhance their educational and social development
- Support members with reference resources (Governance: bylaws, policies & procedures, website – contact flowcharts)
Service

- Establish and communicate expectations for members understanding and accountability for the care and maintenance of resources
- Use technology to improve efficiency and to enhance the operations and services of AOII Properties

- Deliver exceptional housing facilities to maintain collegiate engagement and housing retention rates
