Leadership Academy 2023
Leadership Academy takes place annually as a training opportunity focused on collegiate chapters. The virtual format has allowed for an increased impact and a greater number of chapter leaders to participate in training to begin their officer terms. As such, the Fraternity is pleased to continue to offer Leadership Academy as a virtual experience for our collegians moving forward.
Who is invited to attend Leadership Academy 2023?
LA 2023 will be attended by Chapter President, VP Operations, VP Programming & Enrichment, VP Membership Recruitment, VP Community Relations, VP Membership Experience, and VP Membership Integrity. The Advisors attending will be Chapter Advisor and Membership Recruitment Advisor. Each attendee will participate in training specific to their role.
When and where will Leadership Academy be held?
LA will be held January 7 and 8 as a virtual event which will take place via Zoom.
What are the costs to attend Leadership Academy?
A flat registration fee of $450 per chapter will be invoiced to the chapter in December. Registration includes keynote and breakout educational sessions, officer trainings, and a mailed LA 2023 participant package. The flat fee covers all 9 participants per chapter and will not be pro-rated. Attendees will not be charged individually at the time of registration.
What is the timeline for registration?
- Registration opens November 1, 2022
- Registration closes December 5, 2022

How do I register to attend Leadership Academy?
To register yourself for Leadership Academy, first please make sure that your role has been updated in Alphalink following your chapter’s elections. Once all roles have been updated in Alphalink, navigate to your chapter side of Alphalink by selecting your chapter at the top of the Alphalink personal portal. Once on the chapter side, select the Leadership Academy Registration button to register!
Can I select an alternate to attend Leadership Academy for me?
If the designated officer or advisor is unable to attend LA 2023, you are encouraged to send an alternate in your place. To select an alternate, please click the “Leadership Academy Alternate Selection” tile located on your chapter side of AlphaLink. Once your Alternate has been submitted, they will receive an email and have access to register from the Dashboard of the chapter side of AlphaLink.
Once you have submitted your alternate selection, your alternate will be notified by email they now have access to register on Alphalink.
As a note, if you select an alternate, that person will be attending all sessions on your behalf for the duration of the event. You may not have multiple alternates throughout the weekend.
Is there a schedule for Leadership Academy available?
Yes! You can see the schedule on Alphalink by selecting the Registration tile and navigating to the Agenda tab on the top of the page.
How do I know that my registration was received?
If you have successfully registered for LA, you will see your name listed on the Attendee tab. You can access the attendee tab by selecting the Registration tile and navigating to the Attendee tab at the top of the page.
What should I wear to Leadership Academy?
- Saturday: AOII Shirt or School Spirit Shirt
- Sunday: LA 2023 T-shirt or AOII Shirt
What should I have prepared to attend Leadership Academy?
- Check to make sure you have the Zoom application downloaded (and updated to the most current version)
- Pen and notebook
- AOII LA 2023 Participant Workbook
- Snacks & Water
Where will I find my Zoom links?
All registered attendees will receive an email the week of Leadership Academy with a schedule that includes Zoom links.
When will I receive my LA package?
For all attendees registered before the deadline, your package will be shipped by December 16. Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity Headquarters will be closed from December 17- January 2, so no packages will be shipped during this time. Any attendees who register after the December 5 deadline will be shipped during the week of January 3 and may not arrive before LA.
Please remember that USPS is busy during the holidays and shipping times may take longer than normal, domestically and in Canada. Providing a fully accurate address at the time of registration is important to help your package arrive as soon as possible, so please double-check before you submit your registration!
You do not need your package in order to participate in the event. We will provide an electronic copy of the workbook for all attendees to use if needed.
