Welcome To The Team, Madison!
It seems like spring has just arrived, but we’re already planning for a very busy summer with the AOII Foundation! The highlight will be our Leadership Institute, June 28 through July 1 in Cool Springs, Tennessee, just down the road from our international office. We are so excited for the return of our wonderful intern, Madison Roxbury (Sigma Rho/Slippery Rock U), who is spending her summer with us for the second year in a row.
A junior at Slippery Rock University, Madison is a nonprofit management major. She currently serves as Sigma Rho’s Chapter President, which she states has taught her how to keep AOII’s best interest at heart. Madison believes joining AOII was the best decision she has made in college because of the support and love it has brought her. As a young girl, she knew she always wanted to be in a sorority and could tell during recruitment that AOII was a fun and close sisterhood.
“The AOII Foundation was a perfect fit for an internship in the nonprofit field and allows me to work with an organization I love in a field that I am passionate about!”
In the classroom, Madison is learning the fundamentals of fundraising and nonprofit management and is excited to continue seeing those principles come to life over the summer. She will begin her internship with the Foundation in late May, where she will continue to assist with all aspects of the Foundation—donor relations and stewardship to marketing, public relations and Leadership Institute preparation and more. Madison will be attending Leadership Institute representing Sigma Rho, so be sure to introduce yourself if you see her there!
