Training Ambassador Program
Are you interested in leading our collegiate Executive Team officers to reflect on their leadership and communication styles? Are you passionate about helping our ET officers feel confidently prepared to fulfill their duties as an officer by leading officer transition workshops? Are you eager to support advisors by facilitating workshops around operations and best advising practices? Are you interested in virtually presenting “Advising with Ambition”, a training series designed to help train our advisors? Frequently Asked Questions
Can I serve on an CCAB and as an ambassador at the same time?
Yes! Many current ambassadors also serve on a CCAB, on a standing committee, in an alumnae chapter, etc. The time commitment for the role will be the same for all ambassadors, so please ensure that you can meet the requirements if you choose to apply for this role in addition to a current role.
What kinds of visits are offered?
All visits switched to virtual for the 2020-21 academic year and hosted over Zoom. We have resumed in-person visits and now offer chapters a choice for in-person or virtual visits!
What is the time commitment of this role?
Per visit, ambassadors spend up to 10 hours planning, prepping, and facilitating. Over the course of the year, ambassadors facilitate up for up to 6 chapters. Ambassadors serve in a two-year term (July 2024-May 2026).
Please be advised that attendance at in-person training at AOII Headquarters in Brentwood, TN from Friday, August 9, 2024 – Sunday, August 11, 2024 is a mandatory component of position placement for all three ambassador positions.
