July Is Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month
Throughout the month of July, we invite all of our sisters, friends and family to join us for Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month. We will share ways to get involved as well as statistics and educational information throughout the month! This will include how we partner to support the community impacted by arthritis, including AOII’s commitment to the Arthritis Foundation, the Arthritis Foundation’s 2021 National Juvenile Arthritis Conference, how you can raise awareness, and the Arthritis Foundation’s Insights survey for those impacted by arthritis.
AOII & The Arthritis Foundation
Our partnership with the Arthritis Foundation over the past year has been in full support of the arthritis community especially the Juvenile Arthritis Community. In a year impacted by COVID-19, the tremendous fundraising efforts of our collegiate and alumnae chapters remained strong. Because of this, AOII’s giving levels were consistent with previous years. 2021 National Juvenile Arthritis (JA) Conference
This year the Arthritis Foundation’s annual JA Conference will be virtual. Since 1984, the Arthritis Foundation’s annual National Juvenile Arthritis Conference has been a place where kids, teens, young adults, and their families (siblings included) come together to get better informed about juvenile arthritis and other rheumatic diseases, as well as share stories and exchange tips that can make living with the condition easier. The theme for this summers conference is AMPLIFY the JA Movement. Click the link below for more information on how to register as well as JAC volunteer opportunities.

Arthritis Foundation Live Yes! JA INSIGHTS Survey
We’re serious about helping the Arthritis Foundation conquer arthritis — the #1 cause of disability in the United States. If your child is one of the 300,000 children and teens living with doctor-diagnosed Juvenile Arthritis, let their voice be heard. Take the Live Yes! JA INSIGHTSSM survey and help make a difference — for your child and the whole JA community.
By sharing your experience, you’re showing decision-makers the realities of living with JA, paving the way for new possibilities. Your responses inform the Arthritis Foundation’s strategy to break down barriers to care, inform research and create resources that may make a difference in your own child’s life and for many more other children.
