2021 Virtual Fraternal Government Relations Coalition Capitol Hill Visits
The National Panhellenic Conference will host Virtual Fraternal Government Relations Coalition (FGRC) Capitol Hill visits on April 13-15, 2021 to advocate for the topics outlined in the NPC Government Relations Platform. This year’s visits will include both traditional appointments and “marquee” meetings with key champions of NPC/NIC legislation and/or members with whom we want to build relationships. The marquee meetings will be broadcast using a webinar, versus meeting platform, to allow for many more students, staff and volunteers to engage.
The Fraternal Government Relations Coalition is looking for outstanding campus and chapter leaders to participate in virtual Capitol Hill visits to advocate for legislation that is important to the success of fraternity and sorority organizations across the country. These visits provide students with the opportunity to directly impact the legislative process.
Due to the move to a virtual environment, there will be no cost to participate. It is the hope to select more students to participate this year and intend to spread the meetings among more teams (with each team having no more than roughly five meetings during the three-day period). Participants must have access to internet and a device with a camera/microphone during those days to participate.
Applications are due by 5 pm ET on Sunday, Dec. 13. Applicants will be notified by February 1, 2021 regarding acceptance.
If you have any questions about the application process, please feel free to reach out to Amanda Faulkenberg, executive manager.
