The Phi Sigma Chapter at University of Nebraska at Kearney has announced plans to honor collegiate member Ziera Nickerson. The Fraternity will observe a draping of the badge in Ziera’s honor alongside the women of the Phi Sigma Chapter on Monday, October 29. When any member of Alpha Omicron Pi passes away, each collegiate and alumna member may indicate respect and mourning by draping her badge for up to 7 days. The preferred method of draping the badge is to pin the badge through a small piece of black ribbon. Collegiate and alumnae chapters may also hold the Memorial Ritual for Chapters and Members, a ceremony intended for initiated members of Alpha Omicron Pi to honor a deceased member.
