Award Submission Deadline For ALL Awards: March 15, 2018 at 11:59 PM CDT

To Apply: AOII’s award application forms are now located on a site called SmarterSelect. You will need to register for access, but registration is quick and easy. Click on one of the award category links listed below and you will be asked to create an account. The email address and password you register with will be your login information and you will use that for all award submissions you make. If more than one member of a chapter is submitting an award, each individual must create an account. You will then be routed to the application form. All questions about the awards process should be directed to AwardsSubmitted@alphaomicronpi.org.

Alumnae Awards

Alumnae Chapter Award Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility for alumnae chapter awards requires that the chapter meets the following expectations (chapters failing to meet all expectations will be disqualified):

  • Submit Chapter Standards of Excellence (SOEs) by March 1, 2018
  • Achieve overall Pearl or Ruby Level SOE Status
  • The chapter may not be 30 days or more past due on any fees owed to the Fraternity.
  • Meet the award submission deadline of March 15, 2018 at 11:59 PM CDT

Alumnae Member Award Categories and Requirements

Alumnae Women of Leadership Award (AWOL)

  • This annual Award is presented to alumnae women who demonstrate outstanding leadership. While leadership within Alpha Omicron Pi is often recognized, this award primarily recognizes leadership within a member’s community or profession. Any AOII member may submit a nomination in this category.

Muriel T. McKinney Award

  • This annual award is presented to a Chapter Adviser for outstanding guidance and service to a collegiate chapter (at least two years in the position is required). It is named in honor of Past International President, Muriel T. McKinney. Any AOII member may submit a nomination in this category.

Rose Awards

  • These annual awards recognize alumnae who serve AOII solely because of their devotion to the Fraternity, its members, and its ideals. The Rose Award is AOII’s “Thank You” to loyal alumnae for their lifetime commitment and dedication. Any AOII member may submit a nomination in this category.

Collegiate Awards

Collegiate Chapter Award Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility for collegiate chapter awards requires that the chapter meets the following expectations (chapters failing to meet all expectations will be disqualified):

  • Submit Chapter Standards of Excellence (SOEs) by February 1, 2018
  • Achieve overall Gold, Pearl, or Ruby Level SOE Status
  • Achieve ALL expectations in the SOE level for the award in which you are applying (ie, all Finance expectations for the Excellence in Finance Award)
  • The chapter may not be on International Probation (International Monitoring is allowed)
  • The chapter may not be 30 days or more past due on any fees owed to the Fraternity.
  • Meet the award submission deadline of March 15, 2018 at 11:59 PM CDT

Collegiate Member Award Categories and Requirements

Collegiate Women of Leadership Award (CWOL)

  • This annual Award is presented to collegiate women who demonstrate outstanding leadership. While leadership within Alpha Omicron Pi is often recognized, this award primarily recognizes leadership within a member’s campus, community or intended profession. Any AOII member may submit a nomination in this category.

Mary Louise Roller Award

  • This annual award honors a collegiate member who has provided outstanding service and leadership to her local Panhellenic, campus, and/or community. It is named in honor of Past International President and Past NPC Chairman, Mary Louise Roller. Only collegiate chapters may submit a nomination in this category.

Stella George Stern Perry Award

  • This annual award is presented to the most outstanding collegiate chapter president. The Perry Award is the highest distinction given to a collegiate member of Alpha Omicron Pi and is named after Founder Stella Perry, the first President of Alpha Chapter and the first President of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity. The award recognizes a Chapter President for o,utstanding service to her chapter, exceptional inspiration to its members, and recognition by administration and/or fellow students of her college or university. Only collegiate chapters may submit a nomination in this category.

Reminder – Award Submission Deadline: March 15, 2018 at 11:59 PM CDT

Awards presented only during convention years: Adele K. Hinton Award, Barbara Daugs Hunt Award, Elizabeth Heywood Wyman Award, Helen St. Clair Mullan Award, Overall Chapter Excellence Awards, Mary Ann Rice Caldwell Award (MARC), and JWH Cup.
