Greetings From Arizona State University!

Hi, everyone! My name is Ramsey Folb, and I am one of the Educational Leadership Consultants for the 2017-2018 school year. I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota (Tau Chapter) with a degree in psychology and a minor in neuroscience. I am originally from Maryland and have been dancing since the age of six. Dancing has always been a huge part of my life and I hope to dance on an NBA team some day!
I am currently at Arizona State University, chartering a new AOII chapter with three other Educational Leadership Consultants; Audrey, Kaitlyn and Mary Grace. It has been my dream to travel to Arizona, and I am lucky enough to spend the fall semester here, alongside great friends. So far, my adventures as an ELC have included a lot of planning, meetings, tabling around campus, coffee dates, and exploring the state of Arizona. My fellow ELCs and I have tried to attend as many Greek events and chapter meetings as possible, in order to formally introduce ourselves to the members of the Greek community, to demonstrate our support of their organizations, and to ask for their help in recommending potential members for our chapter. The ASU Greek community has been so welcoming to us and are more than willing to lend a helping hand, which makes our transition to the university that much smoother.
We have met so many wonderful people, which has been great because one of the things I have most looked forward to this year is creating meaningful relationships, especially with the women of ASU who could be members of AOIIs chartering class. As New Member Educator back in my undergrad, my favorite part was being a leader to all our new members, while demonstrating a passion and dedication to AOII. The feeling of being the person someone looks up to for advice and guidance is a huge honor. Being an ELC gives me the opportunity to leave a lasting impression on the young women I meet along the way and be a resource for them during such an exciting time in their lives.
As a collegian entering AOII for the first time, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The first couple months of the new member period are crucial to the foundation, the experience and the success of a new member class, and I want to ensure this chartering class has the experience of a lifetime! I am so excited for what is to come over the next couple of months and cannot wait to share it with women who mean so much to me.
